The 19th Novo mesto art days exhibition is based on the works created at the colony of the same name, which took place at Jakčev dom between 22nd and 27th of May 2023.
32 works of art by seven academically trained artists from three different countries are presented in three exhibition rooms. One of the exhibition rooms displays the works of the guest of honour of the colony, Herman Gvardjančič. Other participants and authors of art works are: Rebeka Abdagić, Domen Dimovski, Janez Kardelj, Alja Košar, Bojan Mavsar, Katja Pál, Mihaela Rašica.
At this year’s colony, a three-member jury composed of Robert Lozar, the artistic director of the colony and the chairman of the jury, and members Herman Gvardjančič, the guest of honour, and Jasna Kocuvan Štukelj chose the winner of the 19th Novo mesto art days. The winner is the young graphic artist Alja Košar, who will have a solo exhibition next year as part of the prize.
