Men of Glass; An overview of artists and exhibitions of contemporary glass art in the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar from 2009 to 2019

An overview of artists and exhibitions of contemporary glass art in the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar from 2009 to 2019″ comprises works in glass by 30 artists who have exhibited their works in the MAS in this period in solo or collective exhibitions. 55 works of art have been exhibited altogether, 51 out of that belong to the Study Collection of the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar and 4 sculptures from private collections are on loan for this exhibition. Posters of all 43 exhibitions of contemporary glass in the MAS have been presented alongside works in glass.

Author of the exhibition and monograph Men of Glass is Jadranka Belevski, senior documentalist, head of the Department of Documentation of the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar, graduate archaeologist and graduate art historian. Music background in the exhibition is authorial music by Milko Belevski, composed for the permanent display of the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar, consisting of two parts: Glass Experience and 2010 Glass Odyssey. Music from 2010 Glass Odyssey — Green and Blue is played with the exhibition “Men of Glass”.
